I so wanted to watch this on big screen. Highschool pa lang ako, which is not so long ago (ahem), I am already fond of listening to Les Mis songs. Ikaw ba naman ang magkaroon ng kapatid na mahilig sa theater. Back then, kuya has the complete set of the songs. Take note cassette tapes pa eto (I told you that was not so long ago haha!). We listen to these almost every day. Although, I haven't seen this on stage and I don't know the whole story, sa mga kanta pa lang, dude pare nakaka-hook na. And there were times when kuya is away, I will go to his room, play the songs, and (discreetly) sing along. I imagine myself as one of the casts, at feeling ko talaga ako si Lea Salonga ahihi.
Every scene in the movie, I could hear myself "ah yun pala yun", "wow! si wolverine kumakanta!" :)) I control myself not to sing along, baka kasi palabasin kami ng sinehan. But there's this scene when the people started to sing "Do you hear the people sing, singing a song of angry men. It is a music of the people who will not be slaves again...." Hala! Napakanta ang lola!! Haha! Hubby looked at me. Nahiya naman ako :)
But wait madlang people inside the movie house, why are you sobbing? All I know is that this is a story of a revolution. Hala! Nakakaiyak pala! Uy, kita ko si ate sa harap namin tulo luha...parang ako! Nyahaha!
That's how we end the week..
And because I still can't get over of the movie, before going to sleep, I watched Lea Salonga's version of On My Own on youtube. Haaaay..ang ganda lang talaga.
Aside from On My Own and I Dreamed A Dream, this song is one of my picks!
